Responding to today's announcement in the Budget of changes to the Personal Independence Payment, George Fielding BEM, Chair of the Kidz Board, said:
‘Whizz-Kidz passionately champions every young disabled person, like me, to have a fair chance to achieve their dreams, no matter what their condition is or piece of mobility equipment they use.
‘Some people in society need support to give them the chance they deserve to live a contented life and reach their potential. I believe the cut to the Personal Independence Payment will remove some of this support and create an additional barrier to independence for many Whizz-Kidz Ambassadors and other young disabled people across the UK. Whizz-Kidz would welcome the Government consulting with Whizz-Kidz’s young Ambassadors before making this change in policy'
