‘I’ve been with Whizz-Kidz long enough now to see just how much joy it brings; this isn’t only to the young wheelchair users that are attending though, I also see it in the volunteers, carers, parents, facilitators – everybody! The happiness and good that comes from being part of something so wonderful is infectious’ –Sophie, Whizz-Kidz Volunteer.
Volunteers Week is here and we want to use this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers. We could not do without you!
Whizz-Kidz relies on volunteers to help us run our youth groups, wheelchair skills training and residential camps for young disabled people, and to help us raise vital funds for the charity. In fact, 53 volunteers have contributed a massive 961 hours to Whizz-Kidz services so far this year!
As our services continue to grow, we need more volunteers to support them.
There are two main volunteering roles at Whizz-Kidz, you can work with disabled children and young people or you can help us with our fundraising.
You don’t need lots of spare time to volunteer with Whizz-Kidz, just a few hours here and there can make a big difference.
If you have any questions we would love to hear from you – email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call on 020 7798 6117.
