Whizz-Kidz is delighted to announce that we have today received confirmation that the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has given us ‘Investing in Volunteers’ accreditation.

The accolade is the UK quality standard for all organisations involving volunteers in their work, and demonstrates excellence in providing volunteering opportunities.

The wall at Whizz-Kidz HQ will soon be adorned with a new ‘Investing in Volunteers’ plaque, which demonstrates to all budding and veteran volunteers that we take their commitment seriously, and want to work alongside them to provide experiences that enrich not only the volunteer, but the many thousands of young disabled people that our work supports.

Jo Rhodes-Jiao is Whizz-Kidz’s Head of Volunteering and Leadership. She said:

“Everyone at Whizz-Kidz is delighted to have our Investing in Volunteers accreditation confirmed; it is the result of a great deal of hard work, and recognises the incredible commitment of our fantastic volunteers, and the staff here at Whizz-Kidz HQ who support them.

“I want to thank and congratulate everyone involved, and the team at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, for making this possible. We look forward to continuing to champion excellence in volunteering here at Whizz-Kidz, and changing the lives of disabled children and young people across the UK.”
