The exhibition, which is at the Project Ability Gallery Space in Trongate 103 and is entitled ‘Through Our Eyes’, showcases photography, drawings and paintings by young wheelchair users from the Glasgow area.

The artworks were produced through workshops at our club in Glasgow, where young wheelchair users can develop new skills, meet new people and learn a range of accessible activities. The club and its workshops are funded thanks to the players of the National Lottery.

‘Through Our Eyes’ draws upon our belief that visual art and photography is an invaluable means of expression for club members and helps them build confidence.

Particular emphasis is put upon their distinctive viewpoints as young disabled people, showing their lives and experiences through their own eyes.

The works exhibited reflect the diversity of the young people and their wide range of experiences, presented in the exhibition as a vibrant, colourful visual journey.

The exhibition runs until 3rd September 2019 at the Project Ability Gallery Space (3rd Floor, Trongate 103, Glasgow, G1 5HD).
