Dan Pitman - Director, Strategy & Delivery, Platform Technology and Sciences, GlaxoSmithKline
Dan has over 15 years’ experience advising clients on the transformation that technology can make to their business lives. He has previously worked at Accenture and IMS Health, and is currently a Director of Strategy for GlaxoSmithKline, where he is working to transform the way medicines are designed and manufactured. Dan has been involved with Whizz-Kidz since 2008, he has supported Whizz-Kidz develop their strategy with the Board, helped re-engineer the supply chain, led an eLearning initiative for wheelchair users, applied lean six sigma approaches to improve internal operations and assisted with service introduction to the NHS. Dan is passionate about the benefits that technology can bring to Whizz-Kidz and young people and is keen to explore how Whizz-Kidz can help wheelchair users research and access the services which are so life changing for them, connect with other like-minded individuals, and drive service improvement by providing a voice for their insight and experiences.
James Greenwood - Digital Director, Strawberry.
James is the Digital Director at Strawberry.co.uk, a creative marketing agency based in Hull. Having worked solely in digital since leaving University, he's lucky that his hobby became his career. He's finally proven his career advisor wrong who thought that "messing around with computers" would never amount to much!
Nathan Eden - Health Innovation Programme Manager, BT
Nathan is a Programme Manager working in BT’s External Innovation team. He works with a variety of large businesses from many sectors around the globe (Health, Retail, Logistics, Banking etc), helping them to discover, articulate and accelerate disruptive innovations to realise business benefit. He has been working in this area for over a decade and has successfully helped many clients adopt innovative concepts into their businesses. Nathan uses the relationships with many of the technology start-ups and venture capitalists from around the world, together with various innovation processes to quickly build and trial ideas in a business environment, helping to prove or not, a business, customer or commercial benefit.
Jude Brooks, Jude Brooks Ltd
Jude is a freelance marketing consultant whose purpose is to help others move from stuck to unstuck. This includes advising organisations on how to communicate better in our socially connected world, executive coaching for individuals, and digital marketing capability training for teams. She has over 17 years’ digital marketing experience at big brands like Tesco, Coca-Cola and Capital Radio but set up solo in 2014. Jude thrives on clarity of purpose, worships great frameworks and is known for asking the difficult questions others shy away from. Her favourite tipple is a G&T. judebrooks.com
Dr Neil Bacon - Founder, iWantGreatCare
A graduate of University of Nottingham, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a former nephrologist with clinical and academic positions in Oxford and Harvard, Dr Bacon specialises in delivering innovative internet-based solutions to improve healthcare worldwide and is the founder of Doctors.net.uk. His most recent venture is iWantGreatCare.org - the most open, direct way for the UK public and healthcare providers to increase the quality of service on offer. iWantGreatCare is also currently one of the largest providers of the Friends and Family Test across the NHS.
Richard Robinson - Director, Google
Richard has spent almost 20 years assisting companies in the building of brands and the development and implementation of innovative go-to-market strategies. He has led many strategic marketing initiatives across various business and technology areas. At Google he helps businesses empower and transform their organisations through digital strategies. Prior to Google, Richard was Vice President at IDC, where he led IDC consulting and marketing services business in Europe and he also led the client services division of IDG's International team based in EMEA. Richard sits on advisory boards of a number of companies and associations, including as Chair of The IDM B2B Marketing Council and is a regular speaker at industry events and conferences.
Robert Maskell - Director of High Performance Computing, Intel
Robert is responsible for Intel’s High Performance Computing business in the UK. Working with academia, industry and government, to drive growth and competitive advantage for the country. Passionate about Life Sciences and the ‘Path to Personalised Medicine’, Robert sees technical computing as an enabler to empower positive societal change.
Shane Redding - Managing Director, Think Direct
Shane is an independent consultant with over 25 years international business to business direct marketing experience. Shane provides strategic direct and digital marketing advice and practical training to both end users and DM suppliers; clients include ITV plc, Telefonica, the Institute of Directors and Royal Mail. Specialising in data, databases and analysis, Shane enjoys helping large and small businesses use integrated marketing to significantly improve the bottom line.
