Whizz-Kidz is working to transform the lives of young wheelchair users in the UK. Our blogs feature the personal stories and opinions of some of the brilliant people helping us to do this – our supporters, healthcare professionals, staff and (most importantly) the young people we work with.
Darren Beddard is currently prepping to run the London Marathon with Whizz-Kidz for the fourth time. Being a parent to a disabled child gave him the opportunity to see life through different eyes. His fundraising has helped us to make a difference to the lives of the young wheelchair users we work with all around the UK.
Anti-Bullying Week is an annual UK event held in November which aims to raise awareness of bullying of children and young people, in schools and elsewhere, and to highlight ways of preventing and responding to it. One of our Kidz Board representatives details her experience with high school bullies which then seeped over into the world of social media.
