This year I will… kick-start my career.

I’m studying charity development at Chichester University at the moment and in the future I want to set up my own charity to provide arts opportunities for children with disabilities and mental health problems. I am looking forward to doing a work placement at Chichester Festival Theatre where I will be teaching classes for young people with additional needs. Whizz-Kidz has helped me to set up this placement – I have found that as a wheelchair user it’s very hard to find relevant work experience. You usually have to put your aspirations to the back and get what you’re given. But Whizz-Kidz has helped me to find something that’s really relevant, and I know that getting the right experience and making contacts is so important when it comes to getting a job.’
