At Whizz-Kidz, we know how important it is to get the most from your wheelchair. Being able to use it safely and confidently can make all the difference.
Whizz-Kidz offer a range of free Wheelchair Skills Workshops designed to promote confidence and increase independence for young wheelchair users. Wheelchair Skills Workshops are mainly delivered in partnership with schools and colleges but can be delivered alongside other relevant organisations such as; Early Years Centres, Hospices, Hospitals and Local Authorities.
Wheelchair Skills Workshops are open to young wheelchair users aged 2 to 25 and are suitable for both manual and powered wheelchair users. Young people with a wide range of abilities can take part including those who are wheelchair users on a part-time basis. Our Wheelchair Skills Workshops are delivered by skilled and experienced facilitators who will ensure you receive the best training available. Many of our facilitators and volunteers are wheelchair users themselves, so they bring a wealth of experience to these workshops and can also provide some useful answers to your questions.
So, if you want to tackle kerbs, perfect your reversing or learn to carry things safely in your chair, why not sign up?
