The personal development of young disabled people is at the heart of everything Whizz-Kidz does. We believe that all young people should have the opportunity to explore their talents regardless of their ability. That’s why we’ve set up our Young Leaders programme, to help young wheelchair users increase their skills and focus on their personal development whilst gaining great experiences.
How it works
Along this journey you can complete five modules where you show us how you increase your skills, how you support others, work on your personal development and make a difference. You can complete these modules in any order and what you do for each module is up to you. You can work on modules at Whizz-Kidz events but you can also complete modules outside of Whizz-Kidz, anywhere you show leadership! Whatever you decide to do your module on, follow this up by completing a reflection and provide a piece of evidence like a photo or a quote from someone. You can do this in writing, as a film, through an interview with someone at a service.
