Working in partnership with the NHS

Whizz-Kidz is working in partnership with the NHS in Tower Hamlets, Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Brentwood, Hull, Plymouth and Southend to enhance wheelchair service delivery for disabled children and young people.

In these areas Whizz-Kidz is working collaboratively with the local PCTs and as a result has been able to reach many more disabled children and young people, and help them to access essential mobility equipment.

Families of disabled children who live in these areas are referred to the wheelchair service or to Whizz-Kidz by their GP or therapist in the usual way.
