Online sponsorship is an amazing way to raise your funds. It’s easy to use, means you can reach people wherever they are in the world, and saves the hassle of having to collect after the event. It also enables us to reclaim Gift Aid easily making your sponsorship worth even more.

To set up your page follow these easy steps:

1. Go to http://www.justgiving.com/whizzkidz
2. Click on the ‘make your page’ button
3. Follow the step-by-step instructions

Try to personalise your page as much as possible with a photo and a personalised message as to why you have chosen to run for Whizz-Kidz.  Concentrate on inspiring people to sponsor you.

 

Virgin Money Giving

Virgin Money Giving is a new fundraising website that helps charities raise more money online, without taking a penny in profit.

You can set up your own personalised fundraising page at virginmoneygiving.com for an event or occasion and Virgin Money Giving will send the money you raise straight to Whizz-Kidz. They also reclaim Gift Aid automatically, meaning that for every £10 donated on your page (with Gift Aid), Whizz-Kidz will receive £12.46.


JustTextGiving

JustGiving now have an additional text-giving service which allows your friends and family to donate via text message, using your own unique text code.

This service is ideal for when you’re down at the pub with mates and they offer to sponsor you – they can do so immediately and very easily!

The service is completely free; the donor will only pay for the cost of the donation and the standard text message rate. The sponsored amount will be appear on their next phone bill.

You can create your own unique six-digit code, share it with friends, family and colleagues and receive donations direct to your JustGiving page. More information is available on the JustGiving website.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a cap on text-donations – each donation has a maximum limit of £10, so if a supporter wants to donate more than £10 they will need to send multiple texts (e.g. if they’d like to donate £30, they will need to send three separate texts to your unique text-code).

For this reason, if you are anticipating high value donations, it’s still best to use the JustGiving website. JustTextGiving is ideal for lower value donations.

 

Guess2Give

Guess2Give is a unique way to raise money over and above your existing sponsorship activity because there’s a twist – everyone making a guess could pocket the cash prize in your online charity sweepstake.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Set up a Guess2Give sweepstake for your event at www.guess2give.com. It’s FREE and only takes a few minutes.
  2. Share it with your friends, family and work colleagues via email, Facebook and Twitter.
  3. Each then pays £3 to guess the result of your charity sweepstake. They can make multiple guesses and additional donations.
  4. Up to £2.50 (inc. Gift Aid) goes to your fundraising total, while 50p from each guess goes into the prize fund.
  5. Whoever guesses closest to the result, pockets the lot.
