With seasonal ideas for each Christmassy day of advent (and some bonus ideas!) there’s no reason not to get into the festive spirit. Christmas Fundraising Ideas

Photo: Advent Calendar1. Bake mince pies for the office or have an after-school Christmas Bake Sale

2. Carol singing – contact your local train station, shopping centre, or council to see how to organise a day of carol singing. Do not go carol singing door-to-door.

3. Provide a gift wrapping service for your office

4. Bake Christmas cookies to sell (either single, or packaged as presents to sell).

5. Include a single sheet sponsor form with your Christmas cards to family and friends for an easy way to secure sponsorship – and include a sweet with each card to say thank you! The single-sheet sponsor form was included in your Welcome Pack.

6. Make your own Christmas Hamper. Everyone in your office can donate an item. The whole hamper can then be raffled off.

7. Bag packing at your local supermarket

8. Christmas Market – organise your own in a village or school hall, or see if you can piggyback a local one with donations going to your fundraising.

9. Have a Mince Pie and Mulled Wine Party.

10. Warm up over winter with a Christmas Curry Night!

11. Krispy Kreme Christmas Make use of Krispy Kreme’s special charity offer and buy ultra cheap doughnuts to sell on to your office. A great way to get into the Chanukah spirit too!

12. Put on a Christmas Panto!

13. Swap Evening: If money is tight for Christmas presents, have a swap evening with colleagues. Everyone pays £5 to attend an brings along one or two presents/items they no longer want (of good quality). People can then choose one or two things to take home with them to use for Christmas presents.

14. Mistletoe – £1 per kiss.

15. Use your office Christmas Party to benefit Whizz-Kidz.

16. ‘Come Dine With Me’ Christmas Lunch: A week long competition in your office, where each person pays £5 to take part. You can organise it either with 5 people taking turns each day to bring in a 3 course meal, or 15 people in teams of 3 bringing a course each for 5 days. Everyone taking part gets a free lunch – and a prize on offer for the winner!

17. Make your house a Santa’s Grotto

18. Guess how many Christmas sweets in a jar

19. School Non-Uniform Day or Fancy Dress Day in the office

20. Don’t send Christmas cards and donate the money you would have spent on them (or just use e-cards).

21. Sell handmade Christmas decorations.

22. Have a Christmas Pub Crawl – ‘tis the season to eat, drink and be merry!

23. Ask your local school or church if you can get involved with setting up a Nativity Play or Carol Service
