London Marathon 2009 Runners

Scott:

I am very grateful you gave me the chance to run the marathon in support of Whizz-Kidz.  It was the one of the best things I have ever done and certainly an experience I won't forget.

 

Shelley:

It was a totally amazing day. The supporters make it a truly amazing experience. I'm also pleased to have no blisters, no lost toenails and a great fundraising total!

 

Tim:

Thank you to you and your team for all your hard work in the run up to the London Marathon.  I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I have been so impressed with all your organisation.  Apart from some rather strained muscles I am pleased to report that I survived the day!

 

Mark:

I just wanted to say thank you to all at Whizz Kidz for all your support on Sunday. The support from the team before, during and after the race was fantastic. It really was an incredible day and something I'm sure I will consider doing again in the future.

 

Edwina:

I just wanted to say how much I have appreciated running for the charity.  From the start of my application for a place you have been 100% supportive in backing me as a runner and that made yesterday's marathon even more of a pleasure.  At times I have found the training tough but the final race day was incredible and I was thrilled to have run from start to finish despite having an injury.  The support teams throughout the race were great and it was certainly helpful in keeping me going.

 

James:

I wanted to thank you for such a great experience.  Although the day was extremely hard, I can safely say it was one of the best things I have done.  The crowd and support was second to none and I am already wanting to do it again. I have already raised my £1500 but still have some more to come in! Thanks again and I shall make sure I recommend anyone to Whizz-Kidz.


Veronica:

 I just wanted to say thanks for all the amazing Whizz-Kidz support over the last few months - I can't imagine how hectic its been for you! And to say what a massive privilege it was to be part of the Whizz-Kidz team on Sunday. It has been my ambition for years to run the marathon and it definitely lived up to expectations! I loved every minute of it, and found every moment of the entire experience (including all the months of fundraising and early morning training) a really positive experience. It was great seeing you all on the day at all the cheering points. I saw one of the Whizz-Kidz children and their family quite early on at a relatively empty part of the course (around 6/7 miles I think) which was brilliant for reminding me why I was doing it as the going got tough over the next 20 miles! Four of my friends who came along to watch me on Sunday have emailed me in the last two days saying they now feel inspired to do it next year, so I will definitely try and send them your way for some fundraising activities! Thanks again for everything.

 

Mark:

We would just like to thank all of the team at Whizz-Kidz for everything they did for us we really are grateful for there efforts. We would not hesitate in taking up one of your Golden Bond places in future events as we really did feel part of the team. The support that was provided throughout the training period, right through to the end of Marathon Day could not have been greater, it was simply a brilliant experience!
