Welcome to the Scotland Community Fundraising page. My name is Carol McKinlay and I am the Scotland Fundraiser for Whizz Kidz!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Although Whizz-Kidz has been helping disabled kids in Scotland since it started in 1990, regional fundraising in Scotland is very new. Due to growing demand for our services in Scotland we need your help. All the money we raise will be spent in Scotand giving disabled kids the chance to be kids – check out the services we offer and see where the money we raise will go – click on the picture to find out more!

Whizz across the Clyde to raise money for Whizz Kidz!

Raise vital funds to help disabled children get the equipment, life skills and training they need to live an active life by riding a zip wire 1,000 feet across the Clyde on Saturday 15 September 2012.

Brave individuals or teams of colleagues, friends or family can show their support by soaring over the Clyde on a 130 feet zipslide, which can reach speeds of up to 35 MPH.

Registration for the Zipslide across the Clyde is just £20 and all participants are asked to raise a minimum of £150 for Whizz Kidz Scotland. Participants must be aged 16 years or over; and parental consent is required for participants aged 16 or 17 years. The maximum weight is 17 stone.

All children should have the chance to be something special…a kid. But there are an estimated 10,000 disabled children in Scotland who are waiting for the right wheelchair, a wheelchair that will mean they can get up to all the things that kids like to do. And that’s where Whizz-Kidz comes in. We give disabled kids the equipment, support and life skills they need to be just like any other kid.
