Whizz-Kidz, one of the UK's most dynamic and innovative charity, has a new vacancy for an experienced, forward thinking Rehabilitation Engineer to support the clinical team in the Tower Hamlets Wheelchair Service
Your Challenge: To utilise your technical knowledge and clinical skills in the assessment and prescription of wheelchairs seating and related accessories across all Whizz-Kidz services. You will be expected to work as an autonomous advanced practitioner, supporting the induction and training of more junior staff and leading on technical aspects of the services with the support of the Engineering Team Manger and Clinical Leads at the service.
Your profile: As a Rehabilitation Engineer with the relevant experience, qualifications, strong people and communication skills, you will be part of a dynamic Engineering team. You will be working at Tower Hamlets Wheelchair service delivering services at times best suited for the client.
We are looking for highly motivated, flexible individual who is keen to transfer their advanced technical and clinical skills into a new setting / role. You will need to be experienced in assessing mobility impaired children and adults and have broad and specialist knowledge of manual and powered chairs, seating systems, special seating and controls / switching systems.
