Salary: Equivalent to NHS Band 6 or 7 (dependent on experience)

Whizz-Kidz aims to transform the lives of disabled children and young people by providing them with essential mobility equipment and life skills services to help them realise and achieve their true potential. Since 1990 we have transformed the lives of more than 21,000 disabled children across the UK.
We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible individual who is keen to transfer their clinical skills and knowledge into a new setting. Candidates will need to be experienced in assessing mobility impaired children and adults, and be able to demonstrate some knowledge of manual and powered wheelchairs, seating systems, cushions and controls, or have transferrable knowledge and skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the holistic assessment and provision of seating and wheelchairs for all clients who are referred to Tower Hamlets Wheelchair Service. They will work as an autonomous practitioner; responsible for the effective management of a delegated case load, and manage therapy assistants. They will work collaboratively with other professionals, the wider services provided by Whizz-kidz and assist with delivering training to referrers to our service.
