2009: Whizz-Kidz in pictures

wallpaperFirstly, we wish all of our supporters a very happy new year!

In 2010 we hope to make many new friends, as well as carrying on working hard to ensure we support more young people and their families than ever – through mobility equipment; skills training, drama, music and sport; work placements and wheelchair skills sessions.
Did you know that Whizz-Kidz has changed the lives of almost 11,000 disabled children since 1990 – often literally overnight?

So, join us on a trip through our exciting year that was 2009 – from our campaigns and events to our fantastic fundraisers and passionate young people – captured in pictures on our Flickr page.

Social media – become part of the Whizz-Kidz story

We have already started talking to, sharing with, and learning from, our supporters, volunteers – as well as families that we have been able to help over the years.

Social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook offer you more opportunities to ask us about the latest Whizz-Kidz news and activities, and have your say on issues that affect young disabled people.

How can I help?

You can become a ‘fan’ on our facebook page, and help raise awareness of our work – perhaps through writing about us on your blogs, in your status updates or ‘tweets’.

You can start ‘following’ us on Twitter, and ‘re-tweet’ (or forward) our messages to your networks and let a wider community know all about our work. You might introduce new families to us that didn’t know about Whizz-Kidz before – or perhaps get a celebrity to talk about us.

Do talk to us, ask us questions, and we’ll try our best to talk back and we’re sure we’ll learn something from you too.
