Molson Coors UK chooses Whizz-Kidz as two-year charity

We’re really pleased to announce that following a staff vote Molson Coors employees have chosen Whizz-Kidz to be their new corporate charity partner for the next two years.

The new partnership with Whizz-Kidz follows a three-year partnership with learning disability charity, Mencap, where employees raised more than £230,000 for the charity.

Molson Coors (UK) CEO, Mark Hunter, said: “Our corporate charity is a key element of our commitment to Corporate Responsibility and we’re very excited about our partnership with Whizz-Kidz. We will now be working closely with Whizz-Kidz to work up a calendar of events that will be both fun and engaging – and give us all the opportunity to raise money for a fantastic cause.”

Ruth Owen, Chief Executive of Whizz-Kidz, added: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected by Molson Coors (UK) as its chosen charity for 2010 through to 2012.

“Disabled children stand virtually no chance of getting a powered wheelchair on the NHS. Through Molson Coors’ funding of powered and manual wheelchairs and training, more children will have the opportunities previously denied them. Together, we will raise more money to make real differences to young lives.”
