Beautiful day at the Gold Challenge Olympic Event
On Sunday 1st April, the new 2012 Olympic Stadium played host to an exclusive event as part of the Gold Challenge – with fundraisers taking part in Olympic and Paralympic-themed challenges for their favourite charities.
The beautifully sunny day matched the impressive surroundings of the Olympic Track, as our Whizz-Kidz team tested themselves physically in many different ways; sponsored by friends and family in order to raise vital funds supporting disabled children’s independent mobility.
Well done to everyone that came along and took part – we hope you enjoyed it. You also played an important role in helping London 2012 prepare for the Games as it was one of the key test events in the Stadium.
Gold Challenge aims to raise £20m by the end of 2012. You can choose to take part in either 5, 10, 20 or 30 of the Olympic or Paralympic sports either as an individual or as a team of up to 30 people. Registration is free – sign up today to get in on the action, and remember to choose Whizz-Kidz as the charity you wish to support via the official website.
