What is it?

The Whizz-Kidz Business Alliance is a membership scheme for companies who want to champion young wheelchair users and build a more inclusive society. By joining the Whizz-Kidz Business Alliance, companies are demonstrating their clear commitment to supporting young wheelchair users and joining a network of like-minded businesses from across the UK.
By joining the Whizz-Kidz Business Alliance companies can help ensure that young wheelchair users across the UK get the life-changing equipment, training and opportunities they need to reach their full potential and live active, independent lives.

Companies who join the Business Alliance will be given access a range of benefits to enhance their Diversity and Inclusion credentials, and meet the needs of disabled customers and colleagues plus much, much more.

There are three levels of membership available, ensuring the scheme is flexible and accessible to various sizes and types of organisation. Benefits include:

- Disability Awareness and Equality Training
- Workplace Inclusivity Assessments
- Bespoke consultations with young wheelchair users
- Specialised staff engagement from an award-winning Account Management team

We recognise that you might have specific objectives for your partnership with Whizz-Kidz and we can work with you to identify how you wish to activate your membership to bring mutual beneficial benefits for you and your people.

The Whizz-Kidz Business Alliance also opens up access to a network of like-minded businesses across the UK. Sector-specific special interest groups will be introduced in due course to tackle relevant issues and share best practice to create opportunities and deliver change for young wheelchair users in specific industries and there will be opportunities to meet and engage with other Members, Partners and Patrons at events throughout the year.

Becoming a member of the Whizz-Kidz Business Alliance will demonstrate your commitment to supporting young wheelchair users and building a more inclusive business, community and Society.
You will be able to publicly show their support by using the exclusive Whizz-Kidz Business Alliance logo on staff, supplier and customer facing materials and communications. For companies with multiple branches or stores, our Business Alliance logo can be displayed in your units, while every Member, Partner and Patron will also receive your own Whizz-Kidz Business Alliance plague.

You will have opportunities to work with Whizz-Kidz to enhance your diversity and inclusion credentials, and improve your ability to meet the needs of disabled customers and colleagues, giving you a commercial advantage over your competitors.

Membership also offers staff-engagement benefits, like any charitable or community initiative, helping your employees feel good about the company they work for and offering opportunities to bring colleagues together and improve team work and morale through fundraising and volunteering activity.
The scheme is designed to be flexible and accessible for lots of different types and sizes of organisations. You might have specific objectives for your partnership with Whizz-Kidz and we can work with you to tailor benefits which work for you and your business.

The scheme is open to business from all sectors and will provide you with a chance to share knowledge and best practice, and collaborate with other companies from within their own sector and beyond.

How do we sign up?

Email us at businessalliance@whizz-kidz.org.uk expressing your interest in joining at your chosen level. We will send over a partnership agreement (contract) and arrange payment for your membership fee and begin to shape our partnership activity.
