Mobility Equipment

Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children with the a range of mobility equipment to help them be more independent at home, at school and at play.

Whizz-Kidz’ therapists are experts in childhood mobility and assess each child’s individual clinical and ‘lifestyle’ needs in order to provide them with the best possible piece of mobility equipment.

The mobility equipment we provide costs from £750-£2,000 for an adapted tricycle, £2,500-£3,500 for a manual wheelchair, £1,000-£3,500 (maximum Whizz-Kidz contribution) for a specialised tricycle and from £2,500-£15,000 for a powered wheelchair. The average direct cost of providing appropriate mobility equipment is £5,900.
