Whizz-Kidz is a national children’s charity with a mission to transform the lives of disabled children and young people. We work to change these young lives by providing the vital equipment, support and life skills they need.
Whizz-Kidz works in Partnership with the NHS to deliver the Wheelchair Service covering the borough of Tower Hamlets for Adults and Children that reside there. The service is based in Mile End Hospital and we provide the service users with the wheelchairs they need within the NHS guidelines.
As the senior administrator at the Wheelchair Service you will be responsible for the administration team, for all administrative processes including managing all referrals received into the service, allocating clinics, booking appointments with clients and ensuring the databases are accurately maintained. We are a busy service and you will be dealing with clients both on the telephone as well as face to face. To be able to support clinical manager to complete higher level administration tasks.
We are looking for an experienced administrator with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), good customer service skills with the ability to assist in resolving conflict. A strong knowledge of Microsoft packages and databases is also needed.
You should be organised, able to manage a varied level of workload and be able to effectively prioritise this You will also be a self-starter, able to work independently and use your own initiative.
