Our Patrons

Whizz-Kidz and Jardine Motors Group have been in partnership since 2014 and in that time Jardine have raised over £1.1million to help young wheelchair users. Jardine’s support for Whizz-Kidz is incredibly wide-ranging and no stone is left unturned in promoting the rights of young wheelchair users and promoting accessibility. To further demonstrate their dedication to diversity and inclusion, they became Founding Patrons of the Business Alliance.

Since joining the Business Alliance, Jardine has supported young wheelchair users by hosting Employability Skills Day sessions and providing Disability Awareness Training to their colleagues. They have also received an assessment on their website’s accessibility from the young wheelchair users on our Kidz-Board.

Long-standing supporter Barratt Developments joined the Business Alliance as a Founding Patron in recognition of the work they are doing with our Kidz Board.

As a Business Alliance Patron, you can work with the young people we support on a bespoke consultation project. We are working with Barratt Developments to improve the accessibility of the housing industry.

The Kidz Board assessed the accessibility of a number of major housing developments by leading home builder Barratt Developments. They reported their findings to senior leadership team members and the Chief Executive.

“The Kidz Board did such a great job producing the 10 simple steps to improve a housing development’s communal areas. It was great to hear the feedback although there are still instances of badly designed spaces across the UK affecting wheelchair users. I’m still shaking my head at the example of the nearest dropped curb being 5 streets away!” – David Thomas, CEO Barratt Developments
