Welcome to Whizz Con!

Hello everyone

It’s great to have you at our new all-colleagues conference. I’m thrilled that Team Whizz Kidz is coming together for two days. I know how busy we are, so thank you for taking time out of your hectic schedules to be here. This is our chance to step away from the daily flow and focus on our shared mission – helping young wheelchair users go further.

Whizz Con is an opportunity to spend some quality time learning together. We’re excited you’ll be able to shape the new strategic plan – our roadmap for the next three years and beyond. We want your expert input. You know this charity and the young wheelchair users and their families we work with better than anyone.

You only have to look around your colleagues to see that Whizz Kidz is rich with expertise. We have everyone from clinical specialists to fundraising maestros and activity enablers to government influencers. It's time to unlock all that brilliance and learn from each other. The economic environment isn’t getting any easier, so we must be agile and ready to think differently to find new opportunities. We have a session on that, too!

Please say hello to colleagues you might only know as a small square on Teams or a name in your inbox. Don’t be shy – ask questions, share ideas and help make the most of our two days. Thank you to Amy and the working group for planning this event.

Remember, the most important thing is that everyone feels included and has fun working together. Enjoy your Whizz Con!

Best wishes

Sarah
