Aniyah: Just Watch Me Shine in My Own Way
Aniyah is six years old and full of warmth, joy and determination. She loves to laugh, play and connect with the people around her.
“I am funny and I like hugs.”
Aniyah is six years old and full of warmth, joy and determination. She loves to laugh, play and connect with the people around her -especially her mummy, who gets the very best hugs. Spend a little time with her and you’ll quickly see her bright personality shine through.
Just watch her, and you’ll see someone who approaches life with confidence, curiosity and a big heart.
Just Watch Me Play, Learn and Grow
Aniyah’s favourite things are simple but full of joy - sand, play dough, slime and spending time with her friends. Whether she’s creating something new or racing around at playtime, she brings energy and excitement to everything she does.
School is a place where she feels happy and confident, and she’s proud of how well she’s doing there. Every day is a good day for Aniyah, especially when the sun is shining and it’s warm outside.
“I am proud of doing well at school and walking with my walker.”
Just Watch Me Build My Independence
Aniyah has achieved so much already. She can now walk with her walker, move quickly and confidently in her wheelchair, and play alongside her friends. These are huge steps forward and she takes them with confidence.
“I can do anything I want but in a different way.”
At home and at school, Aniyah feels free to be herself. She knows what she’s capable of and isn’t afraid to show it.
Just Watch Me Prove What I Can Do
Aniyah doesn’t see limits, only possibilities. When people underestimate her, she’s ready with quiet confidence and determination.
“I can do anything I want.”
She wants others to understand that while she may do things differently, she can still achieve what she sets her mind to. For Aniyah, kindness makes all the difference, and she believes the world works best when people are kind and supportive to one another.
Just Watch Me Move
When Aniyah received her wheelchair from Whizz Kidz, everything changed.
“I love it because it’s pink and purple.”
Her wheelchair isn’t just something she uses, it’s something she loves. It gives her speed, independence and the freedom to fully join in with her friends.
“I can go really fast and race with my friends.”
With the right support, Aniyah can play, explore and experience the world on her own terms.
Just Watch Me Feel Confident and Free
Having the right equipment means Aniyah can take part in the things that matter most to her. She can play with her friends, move around independently and enjoy being out and about.
“I love going out in my wheelchair and everyone likes it too.”
That confidence carries into everything she does, from the playground to the classroom.
Just Watch Me Dream Bigger
Aniyah is proud of many things, especially playing basketball and everything she’s learning at school. She’s excited to keep growing, learning new skills and trying new things, like painting on a canvas.
“I want to learn new things in my school.”
She’s also clear about what she wants more of in her life: writing, maths and opportunities to keep improving.
Just Watch Me Spread Kindness
To Aniyah, kindness is everything.
If she could share one message with the world, it would be:
“I love you.”
And for adults and leaders, her message is simple but powerful:
“Be kind to everyone.”
Just Watch Me…
“Be creative and play basketball.”
