Thanks for visiting the Whizz Kidz information hub. We’ve created this site to bring together a comprehensive range of information, insights and guidance for wheelchair users. We cover everything, from wheelchair skills to advice on how to manage everyday life experiences.
Here are some common questions we’ve been asked about the information hub.
What can I find on the whizz Kids Hub?
The Whizz Kidz information hub has several sections ,including Wheelchair Skills, Everyday Life, Your Rights and the Knowledge Base.
Who has written the content?
The content here has been created by the Whizz Kidz team with the support of professional copywriters and content producers. All information here has been independently checked by the Whizz Kidz team.
Why did you create the Whizz Kidz hub?
Whizz Kidz is one of the UK’s leading charities working with young wheelchair users. We recognised that there was a gap for a comprehensive resource that contains information on life as a wheelchair user, so we created one!
How should I use the site?
It’s entirely up to you! You can use the Wheelchair Skills guides to help you improve your skills. Or read about the experiences of other young people in the Everyday Life section. If you want information on your rights then check out the appropriately named Everyday Life section.
Can you guarantee all the information on the site is accurate and up-to-date?
No. While we try to keep the Information Hub as up-to-date as possible, things can change quickly and we may not be able to respond immediately.
The information and guidance provided on the Whizz Kidz hub are for information and educational purposes only. We make no guarantees that the information is complete, safe, or suitable for every individual. We accept no liability for any injury, loss, damage, or consequences arising from your use of this website.
I’ve spotted a mistake on the site. Who can I speak to?
Firstly, apologies we’ve made a mistake .You can email the Information Hub editor at communications@whizz-kidz.org.uk. They’ll be able to provide an answer and fix the error, if they agree there is one.
I’d like to write for the Information Hub. Can I send you an article?
We welcome contributions from authors, especially if they’re able to share lived experience of life as a wheelchair user. We’ve created a guide on how you can contribute to the Information Hub.
