Life insurance

Automatic enrolment in a fully paid-for cash plan that assists you with everyday health costs. This scheme is also available to your families for an extra charge. This benefit starts from the first day of the month following your start date. Note that this is a taxable benefit to which you can opt-out.

Pension

Contributions of 5% gross salary made by both Whizz-Kidz and employees. We will match higher contributions of up to 6% of gross basic salary.

Season ticket loan

An interest-free loan of up to £5000 after successfully completing the probationary period.

Holiday

25 days of annual leave per annum plus Bank Holiday (pro-rata for part-time staff). In addition to annual leave, employees get three days of paid Christmas leave.

Wellness days

Two days per calendar year for employees to take off for any reason that you choose. It could be to have time to volunteer for a good cause, to spend a duvet day, or for any reason at all that contributes to your wellbeing.

We also offer these additional benefits

    • After completing two years' service, on your anniversary month, you will get a further day's holiday and pay for each additional year of service, up to a maximum of five days. Payments are calculated using the previous year's salary as of the 31st of December. (Leave is pro-rata for part-time staff, though the pay isn't).

    • Five days of Additional Leave for a Wedding /Civil Partnership for staff the have at least one year's service at the time of the ceremony. (Pro-rata for part-time staff).

    • Up to two weeks of full pay from day one. Up to eight weeks of full pay after one year's service. (Not exceeding eight weeks in the aggregate of any twelve months).

    • You can use Secondsight to get advice on the Whizz-Kidz pension scheme at no cost to employees. They can also provide financial advice and answer any generic non-advised questions.

    • Our life assurance policy will pay out three times your salary, to be divided out amongst beneficiaries of your choice.

    • This salary sacrifice scheme provided by Cycle Scheme Ltd (Part of Black Hawk) allows you to purchase a bicycle for up to £1000, saving tax and NI. This hire purchase arrangement will enable you to pay up the amount spent in twelve equal amounts through payroll.
