Ruth has been appointed CEO of international disability charity, Leonard Cheshire and will take up her new post on 1st February 2021.

“I am thrilled to have been offered the opportunity to lead Leonard Cheshire, however I will miss Whizz-Kidz so much after all these years. The young wheelchair users inspire me every day and they and their families will be what I miss most – as well as the amazing and dedicated staff team who make everything possible. Whizz-Kidz will always remain in my heart and I wish the charity every success for the future.”

Whizz-Kidz Chairman, Sir Crispin Davis said;

“Ruth’s years of dedicated service to the charity mean she is so much part of our DNA that it is hard to imagine Whizz-Kidz without her. We wish her every success in her new role. However, this affords us an opportunity and the Board will seize that opportunity with both hands and seek a new, outstanding CEO who can build on Ruth’s work and take us to a new level.”
