Golf Club Fundraising

Ideas to help you Golf fundraising go further for Whizz Kidz!

Running a tournament or event at your local golf club, or choosing Whizz Kidz as your captains charity of the year, is a fantastic way to support young wheelchair users. Golf has always been a brilliant way to raise money, with so many different activities that you can deliver, from playing a four ball to the longest drive competitions! We have made a list to give you some inspiration, the possibilities really are endless.

Par-3 Challenge

Set up a Par-3 course at your golf club and challenge participants to complete it with limited strokes. Participants can collect donations based on their performance.

Night Golf

Host a night golf event with glow-in-the-dark balls and course markers. Charge an entry fee and encourage participants to raise additional funds. Why not also keep the club house bar open through the night for some much needed midnight snacks, with a portion of the sale going to Whizz Kidz.

Golf-A-Thon

Organise a golf marathon where participants play as many holes as possible within a specified timeframe. Supporters can donate a certain amount per hole played or raise funds as a team!

Cash for Clubs

Hold an auction where players bid for what clubs they can use for a round of golf against each other. We suggest one set of clubs between two people, each with a set amount they can spend. Think fantasy football, but with golf clubs!

Hole-in-One Contest

Choose a nice par 3, set an amount per chance, with the winner getting a prize as either the closest to the pin or the one lucky enough to get a hole in one. Its only a 12,500 to 1 chance so what are you waiting for!

Clinic with a Pro

Host a clinic with a pro golfer, with the proceeds going to the fundraising total. Speak to your clubs local pro and see if they will donate their time to your event by helping a player improve their game.
