What we can do with your help

This enables a young person to take part in an exciting activity at a Whizz-Kidz Club, such as a [sports/performing arts/virtual reality gaming/robotics] workshop, giving them an opportunity to try something new and have fun.

Will allow Whizz-Kidz to deliver an hour of Wheelchair Skills Training for up to 10 young people, giving them the skills and confidence they need to use their equipment safely and increase their independence.

Will pay for a Whizz-Kidz Mobility Engineer to carry out a Repair & Maintenance appointment with a young wheelchair user, visiting them at home to fix problems they are encountering with their equipment, ensuring they are able to continue to use their wheelchair safely and enjoy their independence.

Can help Whizz-Kidz deliver an Employability Skills Day for 10 young wheelchair users, where they can develop their knowledge, skills and confidence to help increase their chances of finding employment.

Will create a Whizz-Kidz fully-supported work placement for a young wheelchair user, enabling them to spend up to 10 days gaining vital skills and experience to help them build a career.

This enables Whizz-Kidz to provide a powered wheelchair, helping a child to participate fully at school and in social activities and allowing them to keep up with siblings and classmates. Specialist features like seat-risers can enable young people to enjoy life-changing independence, helping them reach the toy or book they want from a shelf, or speak to their peers at eye level.

Katie’s Story

Katie’s loved gaming since she can remember

"I enjoy gaming simply because it’s fun! Gaming feels like an inclusive society, it has less barriers than every day. I can join in with my family, friends and the gaming community."
