Results Day Is Over — Now What?
Tips on what to do next after getting into University with the help of the Youth Board's A-Z Guide on Going to University.
So… Results Day is over.
You’ve opened the envelope, checked your emails, maybe screamed, maybe cried (maybe both). A few days have passed, and now you’ve had time to actually breathe.
Whatever your grades looked like, this is your moment to think about the future — and if university is part of your plan, Whizz Kidz has got your back.
The A–Z of Uni (from people who’ve been there)
University is exciting, but let’s be real: it can feel like a lot to figure out. From finding halls that actually work for you to sorting out support, finances, and making new friends — it’s a whole new world.
That’s why the Youth Board (our group of young wheelchair users who’ve been through it themselves) created The A–Z of Going to University. It’s not boring, generic advice — it’s straight-up, practical, real-life tips from students who know what it’s actually like.
Quick Wins: Top Tips for Right Now
- Get in touch early. Your Uni’s Disability Support Officer is your new best mate. Reach out before September so everything’s ready when you arrive.
- Checklist = stress-less. Use the A–Z guide to tick off what you’ve sorted (and spot what you haven’t).
- Find your people. Uni is about studying, sure, but also about meeting mates for life. Other students have been where you are — don’t be afraid to connect.
- Back yourself. You earned your place. You belong there. Full stop.
Results Day was one big milestone — but it’s just the start. Uni is your chance to explore, grow, and live life your way. With the A–Z guide in your pocket, you’ll be more than ready for whatever September throws at you.
