Young People's Services

How we can help

At Whizz-Kidz, our support goes far beyond supplying mobility equipment

We also offer clubs, work placements and wheelchair skills training to help you learn new skills and get the most from your wheelchair

Young people's services at Whizz-Kidz are open to young wheelchair users, even if you haven't received equipment from us in the past.

Even better - they're all completely free!

Our range of services offer something for everyone. Whether you want to have fun and make new friends at our clubs, learn something new at wheelchair skills training or prepare for the world of employment with a work placement.

Read on to find out more about what we can offer, and if you've got any questions, please do feel free to get in touch!

Our Whizz-Kidz Clubs are a place for young disabled people to meet up, make friends and have fun!

We do everything from music, dance, art, sports, beauty therapy, cooking, trips and a whole lot more.

We even run campaigns to help improve the lives of young disabled people by raising awareness of disability issues and campaigning for better facilities.

Owen's Story

'The future seems a lot bigger'

“It’s been great meeting other people that are the same. Other wheelchair users think the same way and come across things that other people don’t even think about. If we hadn’t had Whizz-Kidz we would have been left with nothing.”

Work placements and skills days

'Invaluable experiences'

“Every part of the placement was helpful – from travelling independently to just being in a workplace. There were so many new experiences that are going to be invaluable as I progress on to university and eventually into the workplace.”
